Kathryn is first and foremost a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her travels to Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia have initiated a passion for learning of the philosophies of medicine that are very different from her traditional North American upbringing.
Kathryn has completed the coursework for a certificate in Aromatherapy from the American College of Healthcare Sciences and is now nearly finished with the requirements for the diploma, Master Aromatherapist. Fall 2011 she will begin the program for the degree, Associate of Applied Science in Complementary Alternative Medicine with Aromatherapy and Herbal Medicine as dual majors.
Kathryn has worked for many years as a volunteer in her community mentoring young women ages 12 to 18 and in the Boy Scouts of America. She has also worked in three U.S. Embassies, in Madrid, Cairo and Singapore.
Her passion is to serve her fellowman in any capacity which presents itself. Her current education pursuits have her studying full-time and she hopes to use the knowledge gained to increase her ability to support her family’s health demands and to empower those around her to have vitality and vigor in their lives. Once she has completed her current degree she hopes to continue her education in nutrition and plans to complete a master’s degree in Complementary Alternative Medicine someday.
